Characteristics of Honghai Screw Pump
In this article, Honghai will explain the detailed characteristics of Honghai Screw Pump and it’s detailed opeartion.
Because Screw Pump has those basic characteristics of variable transport, strong self-priming ability, can be reversed, transporting liquids containing solid particles, linear relationship between flow and speed, whose quality must be ensured by uniform atomization through high-speed centrifugal atomizer in the spray-drying production line with constant stream feed solution.
Improper considerations of design and selection will cause big trouble in the future use, operation and maintenance, thus Honghai suggests that screw pumps should be chosen on the basis of actual operation needs in order to guarantee smooth production, lower maintenance and repairing costs.
1.1 Configuration of ooriginal manufacturer in Assembly line production is a small DC motor, whose speed is controlled by SCR through SCR conduction phase angle formed by chopping different voltages to control DC motor speed controller in order to establish an internal voltage negative feedback. The instrument display is actually a voltage analog, although there are fluctuations but does not affect the normal use. However, because the product is with dust, and the dust particles are hygroscopic and sticky. The small DC motor ventilation is realized through air from the end of the motor fan. As for Asphalt applications, in general, there are 4 different fields, to be specific, they are producing, which is also called refining; distributing to terminals, mixing and asphalts stuffing.
According to our knowledge and experience, as for asphalt application, steel pumps can be used in the universal seal series of refining and distributing areas. In our production lines, we have YCB series stainless steel pump.
In Asphalt Plants, hot mix field use mainly cast iron pumps in the Jacketed Universal Seal Series, with either packing or mechanical seals.
The series of Asphalt Pump is electrically heated, which simples the process of providing heat to the food pump from remote areas or some required emulsions.
Honghai pumps regularly handle rubberized asphalt (polymer modified asphalt or PMA) made from both virgin polymer and recycled tires.
As for stuffing or filling asphalt, which requires special abrasion-resistant hardened spare parts. This part will slow down the operation speed and reduce the wearing. Thus the seal series is commonly optional.

Basic Principles of Choosing Pumps
It’s suggested by Honghai Pumps Ltd that five basic factors should be in consideration on selecting the right pumps based on working process and drainage requirements. To be specific, they are the amount of liquid delivery, device head, fluid properties, piping layout and operation of operating conditions.
1. The flow is one of the important performance data in selecting a pump, which is directly related to production capacity and delivery capacity of the entire apparatus. Such as the Institute of Technology Design is able to calculate the general pump properly, minimum and maximum, in total three kinds of flow. When the pump is selected, based on the maximum flow rate, taking into account the normal flow, when there is no maximum flow rate, it’s suggested as the maximum flow rate is about 1.1 times of the the normal flow rate.
2. Pump head required in the device system is another important performance data in selecting pumps, generally use the enlarged 5% -10% margin to lift the selection.
3. Maintenance Tips of RY Series Heat Oil Pump
1. Jog motor, take a look at the motor rotation if it is correct.
