1. Seal fever
Causes and treatment methods are as follows:
(1) Packing too tight or friction. Approach is to relax the packing, check the seal tube.
(2) The seal ring and seal tube dislocation. Approach is to re-check the alignment.
(3) Washing, cooling is good. Approach is to check the flush cooling circulation tubes
(4) Mechanical seal failure. Approach is to check the mechanical seal.
2. Rotor runs largely
Causes and treatment methods are as follows:
(1) Improper operation, operating conditions away from the pump design conditions. Treatment: strict operation, the pump is always running around the design conditions.
(2) The balance is not smooth. Approach is to clear the balance pipe.
(3) The balance disc and seat material balance disc undesirable. Approach is to replace the material meets the requirements of balance disc and balance disc holder.
3. The water hammers
Causes and treatment methods are as follows:
(1) Due to a sudden power failure, causing the system pressure fluctuations, occurs vacuum exhaust system, air bubbles dissolved in the liquid or escape of the gear pump in the gas pipeline memory. Approach is the gas drained.

(3) Close the valve outlet pipe too quick. Approach is to slowly close the valve.

1. The pump vibration or abnormal sound
Causes and treatment methods are as follows:
(1) Similar with c (4), (5), (7), (9) the term f. Approach is to take appropriate measures.
(2)The vibration frequency is 0 to 40% of the working speed. Excessive bearing clearance, bearing loose, there are impurities in the oil, oil (viscosity, temperature) bad, because the air or process liquid lead to the blister of the oil, poor lubrication, bearing damage. (4) The vibration frequency is double of the operating speed. Misalignment, loose coupling, seal friction and casing deformation, bearing damage, supporting resonance, thrust bearing damage, shaft bending, poor co-ordination. Approach is to examine and take appropriate measures, repair, adjustment or replacement.
(5) The vibration frequency is n times of the working speed. Pressure fluctuation, not the center of the housing deformation, seal friction, bearings or basic resonance line, the machine resonance, the same processing method (4), the reinforcing base, or tubing. diesel pump.
(6) the vibration frequency is very high. Friction shaft, seals, bearings, no precision bearings jitter, undesirable shrinkage fit or the like. Treatment with (4).
2. Bearing fever
Causes and treatment methods are as follows:

(6) The bearing wear or looseness. Approach is bearing repair or scrap. If relaxed, tight relevant bolts.
(7) If the shaft is bent. Approach is to correct the shaft.
(8) If the oil slinger is distorted, the oil slinger can’t rotate and can’t take along oil. Approach is to update the slinger.
(9) Coupling on the bad or axial clearance is too small. Approach is to check the situation and adjustment of the axial clearance.

1. The lack of traffic
Causes and treatment methods are as follows:
(1) Similar with b and c. Approach is to take appropriate measures.
(2) The increase of the system static lift. Approach is to check the liquid level and the system pressure.
(3) Increase the resistance loss. Approach is to check the piping and check valve and other obstacles.
(4) Casing and impeller wear rings wears excessively. Approach is to replace or repair the wear ring and impeller.
(5) Other parts have the leakage. Approach is to check the seal and other parts.
(6) Clogging of the rotary gear pumps impeller, wear, corrosion. Treatment is cleaning, inspection, replacement.
2. The lift is not enough
Causes and treatment methods are as follows:
(1) Similar with b in (1), (2), (3), (4), cin(1) and in (6). Approach is to take appropriate measures.
(2) The impeller installed backwards (double suction wheel). Approach is to check the impeller.
(3) The liquid density, viscosity inconsistent with the design conditions. Approach is to examine the physical properties of the liquid.
(4) If the flow rate is too large during operation. The method of treatment is to reduce traffic.
3. The power consumption in running
Causes and treatment methods are as follows:
(1) The impeller and wear rings, impeller and the casing has frictions. Approach is to check and repair.
(2) Similar with e (4) item. The method of treatment is to reduce traffic.
(3) The liquid density increased. Approach is to check the density of the liquid.
(4) If packing is too tight or there is dry friction. Approach is to relax the packing, check the seal tube.
(5) The bearing damage. Approach is to check, repair or replacement of the bearings.
(6) If the speed is too high. Approach is to check the driver and power supply.
(7) The pump spindle is bent. Approach is to correct the pump spindle.
(8) The axial force balancing device failure. Approach is to check the balance of holes, the return pipe is not clogged.
(9) The coupling is adverse or axial gap is too small. Approach is to check the situation and adjustment of the axial clearance.

1. Pump can’t be started or boot load is large
Causes and treatment methods are as follows:
(1) The prime mover or power is not normal. Approach is to check the power supply and the prime mover circumstances.
(2) Pump stuck. Approach is dynamic coupling plate by hand to check if necessary, checking the disintegration eliminate static and dynamic part of the fault.
(3) Packing too tight. Treatment is relaxing filler.
(4) The discharge valve is not closed. Approach is closed discharge valve, restart.
(5) The balance pipe is not smooth. Approach is to clear the balance pipe.
2. The pump does not drain
Causes and treatment methods are as follows:
(1) Lack of irrigation pump (or pump gas is not drained). Approach is to re-prime the pump.
(2) Pump turn is not right. Approach is to check the direction of rotation.
(3) The sanitary pump speed is too low. Approach is to check the speed, increase speed.
(4) Filter is clogged, the bottom valve is not working. Approach is to check the filter, to eliminate debris.
(5) On the suction height is too high, or a vacuum suction tank. Approach is to reduce the suction height; check the suction tank pressure.
3. Interruption after draining
Causes and treatment methods are as follows:
(1) The suction line leak. Approach is to check the side pipe joints and sealing situation of stuffing box.
(2) The suction side of the gas is not drained when the pump is irrigating. Approach is asked to re-prime the pump.
(3) The suction side suddenly is blocked by foreign body. Treatment is to stop the pump and handle foreign body.
(4) Inhalation of large amounts of gas. Approach is to check whether there is a vortex inlet, submerged depth is too shallow.

5. After choosing the pump model, for water pump and the approximate physical and chemical medium pump, it’s required to adjust the performance table or performance curves according to the product catalog or samples, in order to check if the normal operating point falls within the pump priority area. Is the effective NPSH greater than the (NPSH)? Otherwise, adjust the geometric mounting height based on the NPSH?

6. For the pump transporting the delivery viscosity greater than 20mm2 / s (or density greater than 1000kg / m3), take note to change the water performance curve to characteristic curve of the viscosity (or the density), in particular, on the suction performance and input power, take serious computing or correction.
7. To determine the number of units and spare pump rate:
As for the normal operation, usually one pump is enough, because a large pump is equal to two paralleled small pumps (refer to head, the same flow rate). Generally speaking, a large pump is more efficient than a small pump, so to speak with energy saving, it’s suggested to use a large pump rather than two Centrifugal Pump.
When the situation is as below, two paralleled pumps are suggested:
Large flow when a pump can’t reach this traffic;
When a large pump need for 50% spare rate, two smaller pumps will be better;
For some large pumps, the pump can be used in parallel operation of 70% flow requirements, there is no need of spare pump. When a pump overhaul, another pump still carry on producing 70% of transport.
Required 24 hours for continuous non-stop operation of the pump, should spare three pumps, one run, a backup, a flat repair.
8. Under normal circumstances, customers can submit their election pumps basic conditions, and we will determine the model or recommend better solution. If the institute has determined the pump model, we will configure according to the Institute configuration requirements.

The way to choose material of chemical pumps
The corrosion is one of the most dangerous harm to chemical equipment all the time, a little carelessness will damage the equipment or cause accidents and disasters. According to statistics, 60% of damages are caused by corrosion, so it’s first to choose the material of pumps.
It’s a misconception that a lot of people think stainless steel is almighty. Now let’s talk about the point of choosing materials for chemical medium.
Oil pumps.
1, Sulfuric acid(H2SO4)is one of the most strong corrosive medium, and it’s widely used as industrial raw materials. Different temperature and concentrations have different corrosive, if the concentration is higher than 80%,temperature is lower than 80℃ cast iron is best, but it’s not appropriate to high speed flow Sulfuric acid and not suitable to make pump valve.
General stainless steel like SS304 (0Cr18Ni9) and SS316 (0Cr18Ni12Mo2Ti) are limited use to Sulfuric acid. So we often use high silicon cast iron (different processing) and high alloy stainless steel.
Fluorine plastic has good ability of corrosion resistance and fluorine pump is economical.
The pumps’ type is IHF fluorine plastic pump, PF (FS) centrifugal pump, CQB-F fluorine plastic magnetic pump.
2, Hydrochloric acid Most of metallic materials are not resistant to hydrochloric acid corrosion (include a lot of stainless steel materials).Molybdenum containing high silicon iron only use for the hydrochloric acid that temperature below 50centigrade concentration below 30%.On contrary, a lot of non-metallic materials have good ability of corrosion resistance, so lining rubber pumps and plastic pumps (polypropylene, fluorine plastic) are the best choose.
The pumps’ type are: IHF fluorine plastic pump, PF (FS) centrifugal pump, CQ fluorine plastic magnetic pump.
3, Nitrate acid General metals are damaged in nitrate acid quickly, tainless steel is widely used, it has good ability of corrosion resistance in normal temperature and all kinds of concentration. The ability of corrosion resistance of stainless steel containing molybdenum like SS316,SS316L are not better than SS304,SS321.We often use titanium and titanium alloy materials for high temperature nitrate acid.
Our pumps’ type are: DFL(W)H chemical pump, DFL(W)PH shielding chemical pump, DFCZ process pump, DFLZP self-priming chemical pump, IH chemical pump, CQB magnetic pump, the material is SS304.
